Every year since FM19, it's almost the same issues cropping up in the match engine. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how this sort of stuff isn't caught in QA. Praised FM21 because it was probably the best they made for a few years (even though it had it's flaws as well).īut now we are back to this again. I can't enjoy the game if the core simulation fails.

If the simulation of football of this football simulator is broken, the rest of the game has essentially no reason to exist for me. Feels like a minutia on paper, but to me Football Manager IS the Match Engine. I haven't purchased FM22 and I won't until general player consensus will state that Inside Forwards behave correctly.

If SI really did make a much worse match engine than last year (which had a lot of central play and was very good in general imho), then they're not going to be able to hide that fact for long. It'll take two days tops for the playerbase to spam all over this forum about Inverted Wingers and Wingers behaving the same. We're aware of a couple of issues which are very much being investigated and reviewed in the match engine, including in relation to possession stats for weaker sides, however match engine changes are very much related to balance and need a lot of time and reviewing by our QA and dev team before we can roll that out. If people have specific issues, we'd very much suggest raising it via our bugs forum.

This full release version isn't the same as the beta version. It's a feedback thread - with all due respect not sure how you can provide feedback on a game you're not playing? So can we discuss it in here? From someone who hasn’t bought the game yet it would be useful to know
